I have a 55 gal. tank that has been up for about 5 months now and I have 1 Blue Regal Tang in it. It looks very healthy during the day but loses it color at night. What could this be?
At night most fish's color fades,if you have ever seen a yellow tang at night they get really light and have a brown clor to them,with a wight stripe in the middle,it's their night colors.
when you say at night do you mean when the lights are off? what kind off light do you have. it could just be the way the light enhances the fishes color?
I have my lights set on a timer to come on at 7:00 am till 11:00 am then 4:00 pm till 9:00pm. I guess it happens when the lights are off, I only see it at night.
