Blue/ Regal Tang

I bought a very cute one only about 2 inches long if even that. How long will it take him to grow to his full size? Is there anything special I should do for him while he is so small? I keep alge on his clip and he greedily eats the other food put in for his mates.

Denise, I don't do anything special for mine and did not when he was small. I have had him for about 4 years in my 55. He is about 5 inches long now and he grew very fast. You have the exact same diet I use for mine. Some have been known to be aggressive, but mine is the most peaceful tang I have ever had. He is the boss of my tank because of his size. I will be moving him to my new 180 soon and will let you know if he gets much bigger. You will love having this fish. Mine is out quite a bit and their colors are beautiful. They will appear to ich up in the mornings, but by afternoon it will be gone. They have a reputation for picking up deseises (sp) easily. Mine has from time to time, but he has fought them off with relative ease. Good Luck.

watch out for diseases. Regals catch them very easy. My Regal Tang was the hardest fish I've ever had before. But they are pretty though
