Is it normal for a Blue Tang nipping on my close brain coral? It have never done it before. I thought it was reef safe. Any advice? Thanks:mad:

Weird no its not normal. They are completely reef safe. There must be something there he likes. Food ending up there? Did you add the tang or brain first? Maybe he doesn't like the brain in that spot?

The tang was first. The brain has been at the areas for a couple of months. Should I removed the tang or leave it to see what happen?

Hmmm. Thats so weird. He shouldn't be doing it. I wonder if the tang has a taste for the zooxanthellae in the brain..... Can you move either to another tank? Maybe seperating them for a time so the brain can heal may help. Try another thread again. Maybe someone else ahs a thought. Name it Blue tang eating closed brain....
