Hello All,
I'm really concirned about my new Blue Tang. He has been hidding out for about a week know under my live rock. I Finally let him out and he looks pretty bad:( His is losing color, looks a little pink on the bottom. I am able to gently grab him and he tends to sink, moving very little. Is there anything I can do to save him?

What size tank, Have you tested your water, is there anything nin there harrassing him? We need some more info. Also you might want to try posting this in the disease section there are some people that browse that forum that know way more than most on this one.

My Tank:
I got my 30g tank about 7 weeks ago. I have about 20lbs of live rock for about 3-4wks. I tested my water and my guys said I should have no prob just adding one fish and some coral. I have had him in the tank for about a week now. Please let me know what you think. I will post this in another forum as well.
Thanks,

Hello all.
I trully appriciate your concern with my issue. My little friend is looking a lot better tonight.
The first week that my Blue Tang was in his new enviroment he was very shy, as how most of them are. He was OK for about two days untill he stopped eating after the third day. He stayed uder cover and didn't eat for a few days.
I was so worried. I let him out of his hidding area and he looked very pail and unhealthy, he wasn't moving much at all. That night he took a couple of nipples of shrimp and seemed to get a second wind. I made him a new coverage, and he looks to be recovering.
I feel that the size of the tank is just to great for him to adapt. He is still staying under cover but I know see a lot more action. He is coming out more often and his color looks great! I hope the initial shock is over. My temp, and NH3,4 and PH look to be ok, but there is a lot ov Eco that needs to be established in this new tank.
I am working hard to keep it stable and I truly appreciate everyones caringness.
Sincerly,
Milo
