Blue Tang???

Ok I've been told by a couple enthusiasts in my area which have seemed to point me in the right direction in the past that I'd be able to keep a tiny blue hippo tang in my 30 gallon tank while it's small and then move it to my larger tank at my mothers house when it grows up... The tang is currently really small, maybe an inch in length, looks about the size of a quarter/50 cent piece in the LFS tank. I only have a maroon clown in my 30 gallon right now with some LR closer to the bottom. There is lots of open space for him to swim around the outside, through LR, and more towards the top of the tank. What are your feelings about keeping a tang in this tank until it grows?? They LFS currently has him in a 35 gallon tank with 4 other fish swimming around.. Please help me out.. you've never let me down thus far!
If you don't think this is a good idea... could you please give me some ideas of other fish that would swim around the tank a little more.. my clown just sits happy all day in his BTA

Don't try the hippo tang. You could get a firefish, dwarf angel if your water parameters are pristine, purple pursedo, fridimini, or a dottyback.

Some people will say no, because they need a tank of atleast 70 gallons because they need the swimming room.
Some people will say yes, and they will say that it is ok.
But IMO I would say no because they like to swim. But that is just me.

ok I figured the same thing.. I love blue tangs but I'd want him to be happy.. I'll look around for something else... I imagined that it wouldn't be a good idea but I was just trying to get lucky LOL
I really like flame angels and lemonpeal angels so I'll start looking for one of those instead...

Well I picked up a small coral beauty angel today when I went to the LFS... Once I get him acclimated and everything I'll take some more pictures and post for everyone to see! :)

Preuss Animal House in East Lansing... Only one in my area that I know about... this was the first coral beauty I've seen in their shop in the past like 6-8 months almost!
