you can make it a reef tank with a lion or two depending on how big the tank is and how good youe filtration is

yeah that would be ok for a lion or maybe 2 dwraf lions but if you want corals i dont see any other agressive fish going in there exept for maybe a tang

A lion will not pick at corals and neither will an eel. But an eel will knock them off the LR possibly.
Dwarf lions are fine for an 80. But, I had a Volitan that was 14 inches long. He would not have been happy in an 80 and I don't believe he was full grown. Don't put a volitan in an 80, it just wouldn't be happy although it would live.
As far as aggressives and reefs, there isn't much you can do.
Depending on the tang, you can consider them aggressive. For example, a sohal. But, I had a clown trigger who ripped a yellow tang apart. He was not what I would call an aggressive tang. But the same clown, 12 inches, also lived with a 10 inch mean as can be sohal.
If you like triggers, you could possibly have a niger in a reef.
When it comes down to it, you cannot really have a truly aggressive reef.
You can always mix it up to get as close as you can. Eg, some mildly aggressives like a lion, and eel strictly with polyps, shrooms, things that can't be knocked around. But, that eel may end up eating some of your fish.
That sohal... he got eaten by my almost 4 foot tesselata eel right in front of me. Amazing, but not worth the loss.
Best way to go.... 2 tanks. Unfortunately, not everyone can do this economically. Which is why I got rid of all those beautiful aggressives. I do miss em. Good luck, but part of that is careful planning.

BTW I didn't say all agressives would eat your corals. I said most will and that is why we have agressive tanks and reef tanks, not both.

PS---
ets is right. While a lion and eel will not eat or pick at your coral, other aggressives will. Triggers, puffers, angels (although most not too aggressive) and similar fish will pick to the point the coarls will probably die. Some puffers I hear will actually sample them, and if they like, they eat.
