bottom bed question

I am wondering what the best type of material to put in the bottom of my new 220 gallon tank? It is going to be a reef tank and I was wondering if live sand, normal sand, or aragonite sand is the best to cover the bottom with. thanks

sugar sized aragonite based livesand.... comes in many colors from caribsea, try to stay away from the black stuff... it looks dirty very quickly and easily.

You don't have to use live sand especially if you're using live rock. You can just use a dry aragonite sand. Much cheaper especially for a tank that size.
Sugar sized is good becasue if you're planning on keeping gobies or other bottom dwellers it's better on their bellies and gills if they sift it.
