My LFS has a horrid frag tank that they keep their pieces in. I mean the pieces that break off while they clean and such. So I was there today and saw a small montipora capricornis frag. It was about 1" long, and didnt have much tissue recession or browning, so I bought it. I figure for 5$, what do I have to lose if it doesnt make it.
Right now its in the low section of the tank, under 150 watt metal halides, in a 24 gallon tank (roughly 17" from the light). After 30 minutes of being in the tank, I saw polyps coming from it, and I did not see them at the store. Good sign?
Question to you all is: Does it look like it can recover?
You can see the condition its in, and the current tissue recession...
