Bowfronts--Canopies and Stands?

Down the road I am looking to set up at 46g bowfront for a reef tank. My question is what do you do for a canopy? I figured stands you just make your basic rectangle stand and go from there. Also would a 46 bf be a decent choice to viewing as far as reefs? (corals, etc...) Or would I be better off and go with my original thought a 40 breeder?

someone here has posted a how-to.. just bow the wood over time with water to warp it..

You could also make the bow out of multiple layers of 1/4 inck thick panels,,,glued and clamped into a bowed jig..This would be easier,quicker,and most likly stronger than trying to warp the wood with water or steam....
