I don't know, do you classify what Aruba has as a "court of law"? from what I've seen, seems their entire criminal justice system is a bunch of keystone cops and burned out hippies.

I only read his account on CNN.com, but if it is allowed into the record you have to allow all of it...meaning Halloway was Coked up, liquored up and died on the beach in his arms probably from an OD. He is an idiot since his Dad is a lawyer that he didn't know enough about the law just to call the police and tell them what happened...IF everything he told the hidden camera and mentioned above was true, meaning he didn't cause her death, he just dumped her body.

Actually he admitted on the tape he wasn't sure if she was dead or not when they dumped her into the ocean...

ORANJESTAD, Aruba - A hidden-camera interview with a Dutch student saying missing teenager Natalee Holloway was dead and that he had a friend dump her body at sea is admissible in court, the chief Aruban prosecutor said Monday. The courts in Aruba will likely accept the tape as evidence because it was recorded by a private citizen without any influence by authorities, Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos told reporters.
This was taken from the Associated press.

Here's the kicker, the Aruban prosecutor just said "throwing somebody in the water or ocean and not knowing they are dead or alive COULD constitute as murder" I mean "COULD"?? What's wrong with that island?

Well, I think you would have a hard time proving first degree murder here on that too... That said, surely based on that tape they can nail the punk for a variety of other crimes. If not, Holland's gonna have a serial killer on their hands someday soon. When you watch that tape.... it's chilling the way he talks about the girl.

This case is a very interesting one...I'm glad the family can finally get some sort of closure.
But this kid either killed her or is extremely stupid. If he killed her and dumped her body than he seemed to have, until this point covered himself pretty well since he is not in jail yet; however, if she overdosed or died from drugs or whatever than he should have reported it because now that there is no body and he has lied... he will be tried for murder and probably will be convicted.

Some months back Bill Oreilly did a segement on a FBI investigation into this and the FBI investigation came up with almost the exact same senario the kid came up with. Now maybe the kid saw the show and repeated that? Dunno. To bad the girl didn't have some older brothers that could have just beat the living snot out of the guy. If it happened like he said the worst thing he did was not admitting what happened up front. He probably would have gotten a slap on the wrist. Now hes drug it out so bad he's looking serious jail time.

I hope this kid gets some major jail time and shares a cell with a big fella named Bubba that has a special gleam in his eye.

That whole thing just pisses me off big time. He is going to get away with murder and laugh about it with his buddies. Sickening!

I'm not too convinced. Aruba's tourism took a hit. This case cost the island money.
The Arubans rallied behind this slimeball but now are seeing a different side. While the locals suffer financially, this rich kid is running around Holland doing drugs and bragging about how he got away with it. It will be interesting to see in the coming weeks if people that once covered for him now begin to wash their hands and come clean.

Here's the thing that gets me. Joran spilled his guts to this guy that he didn't know all that well. Why?
Well from what I've seen and read he thought the undercover guy was a mafia type guy. The undercover guy was supplying Joran with pot and spending money. So here's the rub, he wants to impress this guy so he tells him a story about what happened. He goes on to say that he will never disclose the name of the guy who helped him dispose of the body. He then tells the undercover guy that he is the only person in the world that knows about what happened. Later he discloses the name of the guy who helped him but it turns out that that guy had nothing to do with it and was not even in Arabu at the time.
Do I think he knows what happened to Natalie? Absolutely! But I really have my doubts that what was captured on hidden camera is the real story. You really have to question his motives in telling his story.

I watched a good chunk of that video. If he is lying he deserves a career in Hollywood. (he'd fit right in). I think he "confessed" because he's proud of getting away with it and dying to tell someone. I think he made up the name at the last second to cover for someone. Perhaps he began to realize he had said too much.
Conversely, you have to ask yourself why he is hanging out with a "thug". Remember everyone in Aruba tried to portray him as a clean cut good student...
The interesting part of this story that will come out this week is the part about the young woman having a seizure. Several reports say the police asked her parents the first day they got to Aruba if she had a history of seizures. If that is true, then someone knew more to the story on day 1.

We'll see. It was hitting the news yesterday, apparently one of her parents told a reporter that at some point. I'm sure there will be interviews today to confirm or dismiss that.

Her mother said tonight that in the first 48 hours of the investigation the police asked her and her husband multiple times if the young woman had a history of seizures....
And reporters are beginning to dig up old interviews with her parents where the parents talk about the police asking about seizures. So it proves the parents aren't making this up now.
