Brain Coral Need Help!

i have an open brain coral (green) and another one of my corals had fallen on it and one side seems to be dying. is it possible i can cut it in half or is it done with? the other side seems to be in perfect health and nice and puffy this was one of my main display coral piece so i would like to try and save it if i can.... thanks

what kind of coral fell on it and what does it look like?

New to this hobby, but IMO, if one side is doing ok and your ammonia level is not rising, I would leave it where it is, feed it, and see what happens.

just a little bit has died off but today it looks a little better? will it recover or just slowly die off???...... it was a nice size rock of green star polys that fell on the brain
