brain damage?

can you guys give me symptoms of brain damage, im not sure my perc has it but it acts strange. It swims in an odd manner. It swims like my maroon where it sways its body like an S but it does it in place a lot and a lot quicker then my maroon. Tonight i noticed it was near the surface of the tank swimming in place in the corner.
when i got it, the fins were bitten up, and it does have have a zit like thing under its lip, its not ich. and thats the only one.
When people describe percs, they usually say how much personality it has, but this one doesnt show any sign of personality. it just swims in one corner or just swims in the front of the tank going left and right.

Erratic/jerky swimming, spinning. These are common signs of brain damage. Have you seen this fish being harrased lately by other tankmates? Do you see any other signs of disease like ich, flatworm etc.?

No harassment at all, i think it was harrassed a lot from the store. Nothing has bothered the clown other then the cleaner tring to clean it.
does it spin in a circle?no. How do you describe jerky swimming? No other sign of diease other then that questionable zit like thing under its lip

is he alone or with a mate? was he alone or with a mate at the store? I have heard where if he wated with one at the store and then taken away from the mate they don't do well.

i think there was another clown in the tank, they werent always next to each other so i assumed they werent mates

maybe he is grieving????? just a guess mind you
can you add another one? if he was tank raised he may just be used to being with others.
