Its under 4x54 t5's 2 10ks and 2 actinics at the bottom of a 90 gallon.
Heres what it currently looks like.

Try less light. I had brain that looked like crap until I put under an overhang out of direct light. Keep the flow medium and lower light.

they don't need alot of light..PJ is right, but is that really alot of light? a 90 gallon is a deep tank and you are running 4 t-5's? is this a nova extreme fixture? the photo makes that place it's sitting look dim.

Its a nova extreme yes. Its actually a very bright spot, I just had the camera set with a VERY fast shutter speed trying something new with the camera to get better shots of the fish and forgot to put it back to auto mode. Ill move it in a less light area tomorrow morning, thanks guys.

if its under regular t5, being on the sandbed isnt too much light at all. green brain does like low flow though. as long as it s not receding and showing skeleton, i wouldnt worry about it.

IME, open brains can't stand being in direct flow. Makes sure he is in LOW flow, as far as lighting he should be fine anywhere in your setup. Is anything bothering him? Try burying the skeleton part in the sand a little so the flow can't get under the fleshy flaps when he opens. He looks OK and is probably just adjusting still.

i think u should try putting it in the middle of your tank. slowly raising it up day by day n see where it blows up big. i had a brain before in my tank(put it in my moms tank) n it didnt like da sandbed soo i moved it around n it decided to open up around the middle.
