ok i have a green open brain! in the past it would open up pretty full. i had it under 175 watt mh. then i got a 250 watt mh. and under that it would open up also. not as much as with the 175 thou. it has been under the 250 for about 2 months now. just in the past week i noticed it not opening up at all. the color is really starting to show. like it looks really healthy. should i be concerned that it is not opening up any more? in the past the color was a little like faded. but now it is starting to really get cool looking. i wish i could show pics but dont have a camera yet. my water is good i just checked it yesterday. every thing was at o except for trates which was at 10. i have a 75 gallon with a 29 gallon fuge with all sorts of algae in it. all my other corals look good also. i have shrooms, ricordias, frogspawns, hammers, kenya tree(which has tripled in size in the month and half i had it) and two anomes. the fish are 1 gold stripe marron clown,1 blue damsel, 2 cleaner shrimp, 1 manderine goby, and a few peppermint shrimp(dont knw how many is left!) thanks for your help it is always appreciated!

I would not worry about it,it is probaby slowly adjusting to the new lights,the colour starting to improve is a plus,just give it some time and it should be fine

By "open up" do you mean feeding polyps or fullness(puffy)? Feeders generally come out at night. Puffyness will come and go at anytime. If it is coloring up it's prolly OK.

its really looking good color wise it just dont open up like it use to. when i say open up i mean it use to get the size of like a small paper plate. now it is the size of well like a big mac from mcdonalds. at night time when the lights go out it gets smaller and the stingers come out.. it really looks healthy it just dosent open up. the color that is in it is getting brighter. when i got it about a year ago it was like a dull color.. but here recently wow its really cool. i wish i had a camera to show...... if i would stop spending my money on fish stuff i could afford to get one ...lol...
