Branching GSP???

Hi everyone,
I got my first coral (GSP) about a week ago...already open and showing signs of growth. I think its GSP...yet its a frag that is not a 'mat', but a 'branch'. It looks like GSPs yet I've never seen one that is branching before. It has a purple/mostly tannish 'branch' with bright green polyps with tan bases. I'm real curious if I got a branching variety of it or not. I know a picture would be very helpful...I'll take one ASAP after my tanks clears up from adding more calcium. Any ideas tho?

Just a different variety of GSP, though not seen very much. Pretty cool .

wow...that's awesome! thats definitely what my frag will turn out like by the looks of it. Thank you!
any ideas on how to attach it to the rock? Its kinda tricky since at the base of the frag there's only one flat spot...at the LFS it was growing on the bottom of the tank attached there...but IDK how to stick it to the rock. Right now I have the frag draped over a rock ...

I have a GSP that is branching as well, the strange thing is the branches are really pretty soft even though it looks like it should be hard. I got mine as a frag as well and it has done very well.

yeah mines the same way...they looked really hard at the LFS but once I placed the frag in my tank it was actually pretty soft once i felt it. The branches on mine keep drooping over when i try to place it upright...so idk if it will turn out like the picture.
