Branching Hammer Problem

Hi,
I have a branching hammer coral that I got a couple of weeks ago. It looked great the second day and for the past two weeks. Yesterday I replaced the small powerhead (making noise) with a bigger one. I added a Hydor Flo diffuser to simulate the wave action.
Well the Hammer is most unhappy. I figure I have to move it. The question is where! Any tips will be appreciated.
Thanks, John

Well before there was a fixed powerhead about 100gph that was pointed across the tank. The coral was influenced by it, but not directly. On the other side was a 300gph powerhead pointed towards the front so once again not directly at it.
I now have 2 300gph power heads mounted on the back wall and pointing to the middle of the front. They both have a rotating diffuser that similates waves so the current fans out. The coral would get a direct hit once per rotation.
I have moved it inbetween 2 rocks where it is hopefully shielded from a direct flow. I will keep you posted.

Hammers tend to like low to med flow, and nothing directly blowing on them. Also they like med to high light, so depending on your lighting situation you may want to raise it closer to the top if you don't have mh.

I have it in the top of the tank between two rocks. It seems to be much happier now (with the move)
