branching hammer

i have a branching hammer that has several dead heads on it... if i cut off some tissue from one of the alive heads and rubber band it to the dead one will it attach and spread???
i know when people frag these that do so by cutting through the skeleton so i doubt this will work but thought i would ask...

nope it would not work. infact it could kill the head you cut the flesh off of.
