WHAT'S THE BEST SETTLEMENT I SHOULD USE. I was thinking about live sand, but that stuff is expensive. Can i mix a bag of live sand and regular sand? Any advise would be helpful.

Yes you can mix it. If you want cheap home depot sand to mix make sure it is called Southdown.

yeah, you can mix. i mixed my ls with cc. you can also mix cc with argonite, etc. later, bo

there is this really cool stuff called bio-active live aragonite reef sand, mine was 27.99 for a 20lb bag. It contains more than 10,000,000 heterotrophic bacteria per pound. You should use 1 pound per gallon of water. suppose to instantly cycles your tank, but I'd still wait a week or two to see if the tank does cycle.
