Breakfast Starch Appreciation Thread

lets face it, what makes the breakfast is the breakfast meat.
but what really holds it all together (and well, you too) is your breakfast starch, either via toast or home fries.
i <3 homefries. well done, of course. add pepper and some bacon salt, and mmmmmmmmmmmmm good to go. especially if onions and peppers are involved.
i also <3 toast. rye to be exact, with some salted butter. cream cheese is for commies.
discuss.

rye is nice, as long as it doesn't have the seeds in it.. they tend to cut up the roof of my mouth.
i do like waffles though.
and....pancakes.
and....french toast. of course, you cant forget the inimitable fried Matzah, either. with cottage cheese and honey.

mmmmmmmm..... breakfast.

Call me a redneck . . . . But I am a waffle house hashbrowns kinda guy . Scatered smothered, covered, diced and chopped .
Toast is good too . Wheat is good stuff .

The only thing rye bread is really good for is a nice pastrami or corned beef sandwich!!
Pancakes and French Toast for me please! Although, this past Sunday I was scrounging for something to make for breakfast. I had some eggs and one meager potato. I sliced the potato really thin, cooked it up in some butter and made a cheese and potato omelet out of it. It was delicious!!!

My fav breakfast addition to my eggs over easy would be grits! next would be really crunchy hash browns..

You flip it over and crispy the bread on the other side.... wait until the yolk is done however ya like it.... and inhale (like I just did). Fried bread is good food. I think I need to go walk that off.... or have a heartattack... whichever comes first.

Eggy-in-the-hole cooking right now....

this is my alltime favorite thing to cook EVAHR. i like to put roasted red peppers in it sometimes, and you can also never go wrong with bacon, too. hashbrowns and "fatty-egg-thing" as we call it is simply heaven on a plate!!!
