breeding clowns in a 20 long

can i breed ocellaris clowns in a 20 long? and do they need an anenome to breed? also what would be some good suggestions for anenomes for a 20 long and hosts ocellaris

Yes a 20g is great. No anemone is needed.
Tell us about your tank - equipment, how long it's been established, and water parameters.
I'd also recommend you get the book Clownfishes, by Joyce Wilkerson. It's full of info about breeding and raising the clownfish.

i just set it up but i am planning a few months ahead. i set it up today. it has an undergravel filter but i am going to get a protein skimmer on xmas.

You might want to just remove the undergravel filter all together. It'll suck up dead organics to rot and create nitrates instead of being removed by skimming.

should i take it out now since i set it up yesterday? there are no other filters and i won't be able to get one till xmas. can i have it cycle without a filter

Yes, I'd say take it out. And yes, you can cycle without a filter, assuming you do have some other form of circulation?
