Breeding Rays

Does anyone know if its possible for a male cali ray to mate with a female yellow ray. My male has been trying to do this for the last month or so and i wanted to know if this was normal?

i dont think it would work, especially because for the cali rays a chiller is a MUST to be able to get them to breed and produce the egg...the temp in whicht he water is at has alot to do with cali rays breeding

well assuming u didnt have a chiller then it would be near impossible for a yellow and a cali to breed

it is also impossible since in nature theyw ould never encounter each other since they are from two different parts of the world...

Id watch them to see if there harming themselves. my male got killed by my large female that was tring to breed with her.

My cali is the male and the yellow is the female. The water temp is perfect for the yellow but its the male thats chasing her around.
