can you breed bamboo sharks in a 240. the book sharks and rays sain you could what do you think?
what do you think about Epaulettes for a 240?
there would only be sharks in the 240

i work at the shedd aquarium in chicago and i know personally that it's not that easy to breed any sharks in captivity. it's possible to hatch them but very hard to breed them. yes im a very big fan of the book aquarium sharks and rays by Scott w. michael. i do whatever he says.

Scott W. Michaels book says you can breed bamboo and epaulette sharks in tanks as small as a standard 180 gallon which, I believe, shows how well these sharks are suited to captivity. Its definetly possible. I'm going to try it when I get my custom made 270 gallon.

A mate of mine who works at Sydney Aquarium said that sharks are easy to breed in a 240g.......he said as long as they are mature and you have a male and a female they will at least try to mate, well the male will........he said the main thing you have to do to get them to breed is seasonal triggers, different water temps, more or less food, freq. water changes etc.....he said that they have breed several catsharks in isolation tanks or drums that are 250 - 300 gallon

well good luck i just know that at work it has been possible for only afew but they actually didnt mate they came in with the eggs already inside and they just laid them. but i do know that our blacktip reef sharks did mate and we only got 2 pups which were not so successful of living after 2 days.
