It is great if you have tiny fish that are a little finicky, but this is the only way it is worth it in my opinion. You would have to feed the brine shrimp to your fish within hours of them hatching. As adults, brine shrimp are not nutritious at all.

Isnt it easier to .. ya know buy em?
I use frozen brine
mix em in a little bowl, using water from the aqarium. My fish love it.
But I have been told its more of a treat and not a basic food choice

So newly hatched brine that has not been gutloaded does have some nutrition? I've been thinking about feeding some to my seahorses.

Thanks! I've been considering getting one of those hatchery things that you connect to your tank, feeding the horses 2-3 times a day is getting old.

Yes, newly hatched gut-loaded brine shrimp is very nutritious. After a few hours of being hatched, they no longer are very nutritious other than being gut-loaded.

Just by feeding them. You could also put some Zoe, Selcon, or VitaChem in the water as well.
