bringing up the calcium in my biocube

Our calcium level is sitting around 360ppm in our 29g biocube. All other tests are fine. We have been using kent marine nano reef and it didn't adjust the calcium. My husband purchased the kent marine liquid calcium(yellow label) last night and we dosed the tank, checked this morning and it still hasn't gone up. Should I be taking out that filter cartridge with the carbon in it? Could that be removing the calcium? Any help would be appreciated. We are pretty new to saltwater so forgive all the questions!
Thanks in advance,

No, carbon doesn't remove calcium. You may just need to add more. Most find that they need to add more that what the bottle indicates. IMO

I found it best to up calcium while doing water changes. When my calcium in the DT was 360 I did a 20% water change with the new water dosed at 500. I repeated that for 2 more weeks and then the DT was at 460.
I don't know for sure, but bring up your calcium slowly. I don't think you would want the DT to go from 360 to 450 in a matter of minutes, but I could be wrong.

I don't think there is any problem in bringing up calcium in one dosage. I have not read or seen any evidence that it is harmfull to anything. If it is a concern then do it over 2-3 doses. You should be testing it anyway.
