bristle worms

Hi, so I found out I have bristle worms. I looked them up on google, my question is; do I wait for them to get big before I buy the crab that eats them? There are conflicting opinions on google. Any advise from experienced people would be great. Thanks.

Bristle worms are beneficial members of the clean up crew. They may be unsightly but they are excellent cleaners.

I would leave them alone. They are great for a clean up crew. I do have however one that is now as big around as a pencil. I need to trap it and place it in my 150g,as that tank has a trigger and puffer and I can't have a clean up crew in there. So I am going to have to figure out how to trap the monster worm and move it.
But seriously, this big one I have has not bother one coral or fish or my big sebae anemone. I just want to move it now to another tank. It comes out when I feed and will eat a piece of krill. Amazing.

I am/was in the same perdicament on not knowing what to do with bristle worms, but after doing alot of research, listening to everyone on here and watching them in my tank at night. I think they are fine and dont bother anything. However I am afraid of getting stung/bit or whatever. During my research on google I came across a pic of someone that got nailed by one and OMG! It look painfull. But if you do want to get some of them out I was told to get a small 12oz bottle put food inside, cut holes in it and lay it in your tank where you have seen them. I did not try this but was told it works well. Good luck!

i cant stand them. i hate if i move a rock and i put my finger on one it freaks me out. i let them be till they are huge then i flush them
