Brittle Star + Oyster = ???

I know a lot of starfish thrive on a diet of bivalves... and I wondered if with brittle stars, were oysters on the menu? The oysters do an excellent job of filtering, and even tho i got them for $2 for 3, id rather not lose such a great asset. Will I have to worry about the starfish making a meal out of them?

Brittle stars are scavengers. They do not eat bivalves. If the clam dies, then you might see the brittle star crusiing over to it, but a bristle star does not eat clams that are alive.
