Brittle Star Questions

I just obtained my first star fish, a Brittle ordered from this website. I drip acclimated for 4 hours, but when I went to put him from a bucket into the aquarium, the water went out but he stuck to the bottom of the bucket. I scooped him out by hand (he is very brittle) as quickly as I could, but he was exposed to air for abiut 5-10 seconds. It's been 2 days and he seems ok so far. Are there repercussions from the exposure to air?
Second question - he's much larger and intimidating looking than I expected. Is he a danger to cleaner shrimp, CB shrimp, emerald crabs, sleeping fish?
Thanks

My serpent star has never bothered anything and has an impressive arm span of 6 inches now.
I also exposed mine to air when I got him last year -- I refuse to put anyone else's tank water into mine.

How do you go about transferring the starfish to your DT without putting any of the old water into your tank? Getting a couple soon and not sure about the method.

I drip acclimated my serpent star and use a net to put him in the tank. He will be exposed to air when putting him in the tank.

The exposure to air thing is a myth. This will not damage an otherwise healthy and well acclimated animal.
What type of brittlestar is it? All should be kept spot fed. It is unlikely to be a threat, but anything is possible...and certainly if it is hungry.
