brittle star vs. peppermint shrimp

My peppermint shrimp is messing with my brittle starfish. He/She sits above him and picks at the starfish. Is this normal? Is the shrimp just feeding on left overs around the starfish, or actually bothering him?
Should I have more than one peppermint shrimp in tank. 10 gallon tank.

I wouldn't worry about it... I have a green brittle and my peps hang around him alot... Somtimes they do pick at him, but I think thats just what they do...
