brittle star

i just added a brittle star to my tank to aid the cleaning crew....will he just eat left overs and waste off the floor or do i need to feed him also?

lol hi there and both he will eat left overs and direct feedings will go a long way for him!!!

My mom ("MonaLisa") has a brittle star and for the most part he eats leftovers and "cleans up," but she also spot feeds him on occasion...some sort of frozen fish mix that she gets at the grocery store.

I've got a Green Brittle Star and i spot feed it. I think it keeps him from munching on my snails... :happyfish

no not yet soon though...how do u spot feed just the red brittle star?? he can't eat out of your hand right??

I feed my serpent star shrimp pellets, and he absoutly loves them!!!!

put the food next to him, he will get it.

I throw in shrimp pellets to my hermits and star every two days

is that a freeze dried product thats dry now?

actually they are a fresh water product and are really cheap, but they love them actual name "SHRIMP PELLETS". It is a dry product.
Are ya keepin your hands out of your tank?

I spot feed my brittle anything meaty. I put it in a turkey baster and squeeze it onto his arm.
