Brittle Starfish

We have 2 brittle starfish and the legs are comining off and it looks like they are dying does anybody know why this is happening?

How long have you had them, how long did you acclimate them, and what are your water parameters?

What is the SG? Are they eating?

brittle stars are usually very hardy but if you didnt drip acclimate them then they go through osmotic shock and it can kill them brittle stars sometimes can come back from this but most others have no chance a pic would help to figure out if this is the case or not.

We drip acclimated them for atleast 2 hrs. I'll see if I can get a picture of them.

I haven't seen them eat. I'm alittle new at this what does SG stand for?

salinity or specific gravity it should be at 1.025-.026 for inverts. if the water it was shipped was lower a big jump will cause this try to feed it pieces of shrimp or other meaty food and see if it will take it.
