A popular guy,
thanks about the buckets , I did remember that salt
takes up some space. Really what I was getting at , is that
the rocks ect tank up water space , so I am building a seperate 50 gal sump next to my tank for extra water, this way by adding rock i will not loose any water. thanks for your advise

Sure thing Don,
I've never done the displacment thing - although I thought about it for dosing amounts.
Between the 3 containers of saltwater I have in my system - it's only a guess as to the actual amount of water that's in there.
I suppose an estimation is probably good enough.
Sounds like an interesting thing you're putting together over there - will you be sharing pics ?
