just giving you the report about the lumps in the sand, sorry it took so long and well I scooped out about 1.5 cup and saw a tiny bristle worm..tiny.. otherwise nothing, i even looked at it w/ a magnifying glass for 15 mins..nothing, I also poked at the bumps in the tank and it was like all sand no air in the middle, so I flattened them all out and I'll wait and see...I also noticed my sand was a little brown so after looking for the 10-12 hermits and 2-3 snails they were missing,the porq must have eaten them now i wondering what I can add to help this w/out porq eating them

Well thanks peasly1 - for the update.
Guess we'll chalk these unusual sand mounds up to another "unsolved mystery" for now - film at eleven :p
I don't keep agressive fish - porcs - so I don't have much experience with possible clean up crews - don't think you have a lot of choice using traditional "reef" crews - hopefully some other's will pipe in here and give their advise ...
