brown algae at the bottom of my salt water fish tank

I have brown algae at the bottom of my salt water fish tank. I changed the water on friday and it is monday and there is still alot of brown algae. I just changed to a wet/dry from an eheim to try to keep my tank in better shape but i'm having this problem.
the blinds in the room are open during the day and there isn't anything i can do about it. I have had the windows treated and the filters I'm using keep 99% of the UV rays out.
Any suggetions?

This is most like diatoms. How old is your tank and what are you using for substrate, and what kind of water are using?
Why can't you close the blinds??? Tanks should not be exposed to direct sunlight.

I would add some hermits and get it out of direct sunlight.
