Brown Algae[diatoms?] on sand

Should I use Nass. snails,Fighting conch,cerith snails,a combo,or other.Oh,will any of these harm a horseshoe crab or vice-versa.

I find that time has been my best remedy when dealing with diatoms. I occasionally softly stir the sand that it is on right before a water change then try to suck as much of it out as I can with the drain hose. I also recommend the use of RO/DI water instead of tap, although I do not know what you are using for your water changes.

If you are using ro or rodi water and do regular water changes and don't over feed, the diatoms will go away all by themselves.
