Brown algae?? Good??

Ok, As most know I just got my tank running 3 weeks ago and then got my 22lbs of LR.
Right now here are my perimeters
Nitrate-0
Nitrite-5
PH-8.2
I have a 24gallon CUrrent USA aquapod non HQI and currently have 22 blue legged hermits.
Over the past weeks my rock has been getting a little darker and there have been alot of "Brown algae" Is this good???

sounds like its your first algae out break it go away in a few days you can add your clean up crew now well this is when i added mine and it help clean it up.

Theyve been in they do a good job
but is the algae good?

yup that means your getting the bacteria buildup you need...wait a few more weeks and test your water and youll be good to go

Brown algae is a really easy algae to maintain. It isnt very hard to scrape off at all in my experience. It isnt bad and it isnt good either just scrape it off regularly and make sure that it doesnt get out of hand.
