Brown alge

im new to this forums as a member but been reading these since i started my tank. how do i control the brown alge that grows in my tank? my readings are correct but im stil having trouble. any suggestions? thanks

ok just a few questions,
do you use RO water
and have you tested your phosphates

i do use r/o water, and the test kit i have only does ammonia, nitates, nitrites, and ph
