ok...well I haven't been able to feed my bta since I got it back in my tank after Hurricane Katrina. afterabout 3 days in my tank with no light and little water movement, it swelled up to twice its size and moved to the very front of the tank...at that point I loaded it and my torch coral which looked really back aslwell in my 12G eclipse QT and took it to a friends who had power...there it only had 36W of PC on it...but I figured it was better then nothing...so anywayz...it made it through ok...and is not back in my tank...the only problem I am having is that it hasnt eaten in almost 2 weeks....I think it got a silverside tonight b/c Iwas holding it in the middle...but the spot it picked is upside down under a rock and everytime I try to feed it, the food falls out. any ideas? I did put some freeze dried krill in there since it floats...so I assume it got some of that...but I used to feed it a shrimp and a few silversides 1-2 times a week...any help would be great...thx

My bta stayed in place and my lta moved out to the glass. My power was out 3 1/2 days. After I got power back I pushed the lta back in its hole and they swelled up fine and both ate frozen krill on the second day after getting lights back. I know this dosent really help with yours but I hope yours will be OK.

Try blending it. If its blended and frozen then introduced for some reason it floats.

ok thanks. Stupid question but will the fact that it is frozen and touching it hurt it in any way?? Thanks

Well mine seems to almost melt instantly when hitting 80degree water. If your worried hold the frozen peice under it until it turns to mush (simply seconds) then let it go.
