bta out of water?

im doing a water change today and my gbta is on a rock thats close to the top.how long can they or can they be exposed to air? :help:

I've done this many, many, many times without loss of any of my BTA's, just do the water change as soon as possible. They shouldn't be out more than 15 minutes, 30 tops or they begin to dry up.
TIP: Leave the lights off when doing the water change, the lights will tend to dry anything that gets exposed above the water line.
