Bta ?'s

Hey all i just bought my first bta and just had a couple of questions about it.
i aclimated it for 1 and a half hours using the drip method and then placed it in my tank. it opened right up which made me really happy.then fed it about 1 hour after i placed it into the tank. it took the food no problem. but now the lights are off and hes gone into hiding? went into a deep cave in my tank. will he come out when he's ready? and my second question is, when i bought him his tenticals where stringy and had a pinched look to the almost as if damaged....if they were hurt will they regrow/regenerate

I dont think you have anything to worry about as long as you fed him, your water parameters are stable, and you have lighting pushing the 4 watt a gallon limit. My BTA has been stuck in a powerhead and moved twice within the last four months and hes doing ok-

do you add anything special 4 his diet like vitamins or omega-3 fatty acids.. im wondering if i should soak my krill/scallops/silversides in it b4 feeding him

ive had 2 rbtas now for about 8 months or more... started as one then split... but i just feed mine 2 times a week some squid or krill .... i also feed my tank liquid foods for my corals other than that they are doing great and i have had no problem with them.... bubble tips move around in the rock and anchor themselves tightly into tight spaces and when lights are on they usually fully expand outta the rock ... id only be worried if they stay there over a day or 2....

my bubble tip has been in the same spot for over two weeks...should i be worried? he looks pretty comfortable.

Mine was originally placed out in the brighter lit area of my tank. It moved halfway into a cave. It's foot is in the middle of the cave, it's "face" comes out to the entrance and opens up covering the front of the cave. I feed it 1 - 2 times a week. I dice up small fish (silversides) and some scallops. I soak them in vitamins for a while, then feed with a turkey baster. I've had him about two months and he looks twice as good as when I bought him. My thought on any anenome is probably let them go where they want to, really, we don't have much of a choice. They probably move where flow and light seems best for them anyway. Any new living thing we put into our tanks always take a while to aclimate, I'd let it "do it's thing" for a while...just watch your water parameters and you, and the anenome should be fine.... just my thought...

I also have a blue carpet which i buried in the sand when i bought it about three weeks ago and no movement. Im told they are highly mobile so i was surprised to get him to stay so easily, i feed them krill and sometimes they get ahold of my frozen brine...should i be feeding them seperatly?

What kind of camera did you use to take the pic of your BTA? Goergeous picture. I am in the market for a new digital camera and was wondering what you use?

BillB do the tips on your only bubble up when it eats? I have a RBTA that looks healthy but only bubbles up the tips when it eats.
