well it is official my bta has split. When I got home yesterday he looked like he was stretching out, and a few hours later there were 2. Should I keep both or get rid of one????

It's up to you if you choose to get rid of one, but other than that, congratulations. :cheer:

Were you trying to make it split or did it just happen on its own?
I recall reading someone's website stating that they were consistently getting their btas to split. I can't find the website anymore. I seem to remember the process going something like feeding it 3x in a week then doing a water change. This would cause them to split, and was reproduced several times.
Anyone else have any info on making btas split?

Thanks on the congrats I wasnt trying to make him split he was only about 3 inches anyway. Oh well the two were just fine when I got home yesterday and they look happy . It might be kinda cool to have a bta family. I guess the new one can stay. The only problem is that they are on the backside of the rock so I hope they will get the urge to move to the front eventually.
