BTA stuck in filter

I haev a quick question about my BTA. Yesterday i changed from cc to sand and i hooked up a hang on filter in the back to get take care of the cloudyness and left it on over night.I got up this morning and the BTA was stuck in the bottom of the filter and no sure if the whole thing is dead or just half of it. i had to cut him out of the filter so im sure half of it is dead. The rest of it still looks ok but kinda weird where i had to cut it. Can some one help me out i dont want to put it back in the tank knowing its gonig to die.

well after taking him out of the filter and cutting off the parts that look dead andwhat i had to to get him out of the filter here is what it looks like a few hours after. hes abuot 1/4 the size he was before all this happend but i think hes going to make it but only time will tell.

Can you post a pic of your whole tank? I want to see how it looks like now with the sand. I will post mine when my camera comes home(bro is using it)

wow its looks great dude. I will post mine in sometime tonight. The sand really does make the tank look better. Im happy that we switched from CC to LS.

How many lbs did you used? I put in 40lbs. i might add another 10lbs later on

i only used 20 for now wanted to see what i want to do later on. Plus in about 2 months im moving so i want to wait untill then to get it all going. Found out after i started chancing all the cc to sand. But its worth it for now.
