I'm correct in saying that they lost their zooxa. algae right? Now they did that when they came in and havn't gotten it back for 3-4 weeks now. Will it ever come back? is there anything I can do to help them regenerate the symbiotic algae? or will they just slowly die?

They can come back, given pristine habitat.
When I moved my tank from my office to the house my BTA hid in a cave for a month. When it finally came out it was as white as Casper the ghost. It's fine now.
Provide proper lighting and pristine water conditions.
