BTA under 130 watts

I've gotten mixed opinions on how a BTA would do under a 130 watts 50/50 48" coralife PC in a 40 gal. The water quality is good. I've inherited 2 big Clarkii's that I would like to see in a home. Thanks!

You only have 3.25 wpg.... that is NOT enough lighting for a BTA. You may get away with it for a couple weeks, but the anemone WILL die. Try some hairy mushroom.... they do not require as much lighting and could be a good home for your Clarkii's. Just my $0.02.

Risky for sure, MAYBE if you changed the 50/50 to daylight bulbs and build the rocks so the anemone can be high near the bulbs and feed it often.....maybe.

There is more to it then just watts per gallon. Water clarity, dissolved organics on the surface and if you have a glass top are all things that you need to take into account on addition to wattage. IMO, you will have a very hard time meeting the animals long term needs.
