I would just let it find its own place. Sometimes this can take a while and other times it is just a matter of days.

Leave it. Its natural for them to find a good cave/crevice to be able to hide/protect their foot and to withdraw into when distressed. It should strech out and open over the rocks to the light when ready/happy with a spot.

We feed ours silver sides and it seems to love them. Ours also is under a rock ,then he moves to the back of the rock then to the holes in the rock.I think that they like to drive you crazy.

I mainly feed mine mysis, chopped krill and SS......oh, and metal halides
Packaged seafoods for human consumption may have chemical preservatives and seasonings that might not be healthy for aquarium livestock....IDK if yours did, Im just saying make sure they dont.

Found mine upside down as well, then looked closer into the rock and it has split. I found 2 or 3 more of them in the back of the rock. Must be hiding out until it feels safe again??? Only had it 3 or 4 weeks and it was out the whole time until it split.
