I recently have noticed small clusters of what i guess is bubble algae. They are tiny clusters of about 4-6 little dark green bubbles. Am i correct? If so, is it bad, i have never had any experiece with it. Thanks
It can be bad, it can get out of control quickly, try to remove it from the tank without popping the bubbles if you can, if you get an emerald crab it will eat it and keep it out of the tank for you
If you can remove the rock it is atached to from the tank then remove the bubble and rinse te rock. Spores can be released if you break the bubble in the tank. Then you will have more bubbles later.
I had bad bubble algae...I pulled the live rock and
picked a ton of it off....not fun at all...zero fun...
I even had a beer while I did it and it still was a drag.
but then, some kind soul on this very board suggested
that I get an emerald crab...so I got one...and he went to work on
the bubbles...so I got ten and now I have no bubble
algae and I have eleven very hip little green dudes...
