bubble coral..

Yes, they do have a sting. All the inverts that I have cannot get to it except for my coral banded shrimp, and even he is not afraid to climb all over the bubble corals, and the corals do not seem to mind. It only took one sting to keep all the fish I have away. They give it a wide birth.

yeah i know about its stinging,, its just i got a curious cleaner shrimp..everytime a new coral is introduced it hangs around it and im worried my cleaner shrimp might get hurt..what do you think?

my cleaner shrimp does the same thing. A very "nosey" guy, he is. :) When I have to stick my hand in the tank, he's all over me, too!
Gotta luv him fer that!
HAPPY REEFING!!

I think your shrimp will be fine. I don't know if you have ever touched your bubble coral, but you would notice that it is covered in a heavy layer of mucus. It is sufficient to protect your shrimp, and the shrimp knows it. Bubbles will not reach out and grab him, they are not that strong.
One sting is not enough to down a shrimp or fish. I think that is why bubbles have the symbiotic cells inside that feed it. I only feed my bubbles a piece of scallop about every 3 or so months. They do love the light.
