Bubble Corals

About a week ago I read some threads on bubble corals. But I did not have one so I breezed right through them. I just picked up two bubble corals. One of them has white almost transparent bubbles about the size of small peanuts. The other bubble coral is a deep pink color, the bubbles are smaller and are shapped with points on the end sometimes three or two points, kind of reminds me of a hammer coral.
What is the recommended feeding pattern. I currently put DT's phyto in everyother day. But I remember reading that hand feeding has produced better results.
Thanks for the help

I target feed mine with meaty foods ( squid, shrimp etc) a couple times a week. Just squirt small pieces into it with a turkey baster. It will close up around them.

I use silverside heads......phyto isn't isn't much help. They enjoy larger things such as fish or shrimp. Once a week is fine in my opinion, and some people don't feed at all. The size of the bubbles depends on how much light they get. They collect light with their bubbles, so it is their way of controlling the amount of photosynthesis going on. In bright light, they will keep the bubbles small, and in less bright light, they will expand the bubbles to collect more light. My pink one seems to like more light than my green. My green will keep his bubbles VERY tiny unless I just about put him in the shade. I have found bubbles to be a VERY hardy coral, and my greens been with me for years in several different tanks.

Spot feeding works great with bubbles. I think mine is splitting as we speak and i've only had it for a couple of weeks:D .
