I need advice please!! I am a budding reefer with a 60 gallon reef tank. I have been having problems constantly with my corals, which I am starting to slowly get the hang of. But I need a lot of help. I bought a large beautiful bubble tip anemone that flourishes in my tank. Even after a few days without doing anything I found my Percula inside it! He will only leave for food now, (WHICH I ABSOLUTELY LOVE). But on many occasions the anemone just looks dead. One hour it will be bulbed and fully extended and beautiful with the clownfish happy as can be. Then I will wake up, and the anemone will be absolutely deflated. Just looked dead! The clownfish still trying to snuggle it. The tentacles were almost non existent. They were small and just deflated. This worried me so much because I've wanted to have a clownfish bond with an anemone ever since I started this hobby in my freshwater stage. I will look say an hour or 2 possibly more later, and the anemone is right back to itself. Big, beautiful, and fully bulbed with the clownfish swimming in and out of the tentacles happily. My friend who works in this hobby for a living told me right after I bought it that it was bleached which I somewhat understand what it means.
Am I doing something wrong? It has found its spot and looks so amazing and I really don't want to lose this beauty.
PLEASE HELP!!
Any info please!
FYI: Last time I checked the water levels looked almost perfect. Salinity at around 1.024...?
