bubble tip anemone question

I got a bubble tip from swf.com the other day. Today it looked good a couple hours ago, but i just went to feed everyone and the bubble tip is all deflated. Is he just going to the bathroom? How do i know if he is dead and how long should i watch him before i assume he is dead and remove him from the tank?

Mine did the same thing a few days after I got it but it inflated again by the next morning and has been fine for the last month. I understand that it is normal behavior. Not sure how you know that it is dead, though. Good luck.

If he is dead you will know it as he will desenigrate. What type of lighting do you have on what size of tank? Barry

This is perfectly normal. I have done my research, and it seems that it is hungry. Feed it. It should be back to normal.

P.S.-When the bulb tips do return, it is in a relaxing position.
