Im going to start a 10 gallon, and was told that a bubble tip anemone will do fine under T5's, anyone agree w/this?
10 gallon
40w (I really think it's 36w) T5 Light; 10000k daylight 460 actinic
2 perc.s or 1 maroon, haven't decided.
Any help is appreciated

I have a bubble tip in my 55g and I have t-5's and he is doing great. When the lights are on he puffs up so big I think he's going to explode. I have a 4 bulb 48" system, 2 10,000 and 2 460's.

Thanks, my LFS has many in little tiny cubes (currently for sale), I forgot to ask what kind of lights they had running.
The light is an 18" 40w 50/50 (10000k day, 460 actinic)
It was supposed to come today, but instead I got a sunpaq lamp..
Ive got the T5's on the way.. (hopefully :p)

Whoa! I can't tell for sure from your pic, but if it's a red, that's an awesome price!

bob - do you have "tek" T5's or any other type of T5?
I got the current nova extreme
I just noticed that you also have a clam and an open brain in there!

i just got this fixture last week to replace the sunpod 2x150w mh. it is the nova extreme pro 6x54w. it comes w individual reflectors, unlike the older model. it costs about $370. b4 switching to the mh 2 months ago, i had the regular nova extreme 4x54w. i had sps under the regular nova since march, then chng over to mh in september.

and my anemone is low in the tank. so i know light isnt an issue at all. he has doubled in size ever since i got him.

Sweet! I'm hoping to put a RBTA in my 55 soon also. I'm running T5s... I'm just worried about it finding a spot it likes and staying as apposed to moving around the tank and bothering all the other coral. Yours move at all?

i was lucky it never did. bta from what i hear dont move as much as other anemones once they find a good spot.
